Nosi Invits - Our Language

The language of Delenas is one of the oldest unchanged languages on Earth, dating back to at least the 9th century B.C. Early writings have been found underground among the ruins of ancient cities, not in caves as many other languages have their beginnings, suggesting that the people of this land were much more advanced, especially for their time. During the time of the Greek Empire, though Delenas remained sovereign, the language was written with the Greek alphabet for ease of communication throughout the Empire. During the Roman Empire, the alphabet changed to the Roman alphabet for the same reasons, however to this day, most citizens still know, if not use, the Greek alphabet just as often as the Roman alphabet.
